  1. Wow, Vienna, I am just floored! I own and operate a very small baking business in Vienna VA, and just received your link from Chef Darin in Savannah. I cannot believe that you are only 14 years old, and can bake with such creativity! Your blog is very, very impressive. I wish that I lived near Charlotte to try some of your wonderful creations! Good luck to you!

    Let me know if you ever have any questions that I might be able to help with (though not sure that you will!).

    Also, make sure that you’ve done your competitive research on cupcake prices in your area. Your prices seem too low to me (esp. since you are willing to deliver). Your creations are just beautiful……so don’t under-sell yourself!

I must admit that I’m actually 16 now, so maybe not as impressive, but I really love baking and I’m glad I’ve gotten to have so much fun with this hobby the past few years. Thank you for the offer of advice as well; I’ll definitely let you know if I have any particularly tricky questions! 🙂

  2. You gave me a smile for the day……..trust me, your baking skills and your culinary passion are still very impressive at 16! Good luck with your growing business. Don’t undersell your cupcakes (I think I recall that they were priced too low). And remember, people will come to you (so you can skip the delivery……..if you are delivering, you aren’t baking).

    • Sam!!! I know. Its inexcusable. I mean, if I were to try and come up with an excuse I might say that I’ve been in Africa for the past 3 1/2 months without an oven or kitchen or anything, but I’d never do that. The cupcakes are coming. I’ve made Y already and it basically stands for YUM. And YES. And also YALE<PRINCETON. Hehe. But anyway patience, young padawan 🙂 and thanks for the reminder!
